Be sure you know what you are signing. Don’t consolidate. The payment will be too high. You can file BK, and still keep your car. Write a list of your debts. Put your statements together. If you have student loans, they aren’t included, as you know. If you are in line for an insurance settlement or inheritance, you have to disclose to your attorney.

Take what money you do have to pay, and give each card their pro-rata share of your extra funds each month. Attach a monthly budget showing where your monthly income goes.
